1. Research and develop technology in the field of food, beverages, non-food herbal product, textiles, household goods, accessories, and ceramics by focusing in the optimization of products, improvement of products quality, product value addition, and the improvement of capabilities and competitiveness for the entrepreneurs in both community enterprises and SMEs.

2. Facilitate the technology transfer to communities, community enterprises and SMEs in order to enhance and improve products to meet the standards.

3. Provide testing services for both products and raw materials to community enterprises and SMEs.

4. Encourage the development of products to meet the market demand.

5. Design products and their packaging quality, aesthetic and durable, which are suitable for community products.

6. Provide support and collaboration with other agencies/organizations, or perform other duties as assigned.
