Achievements : Center for ASEAN Food Contact Materials Testing
- Incorporating with other internal organizations to establish ASEAN Food Reference Laboratory (AFRL) for Food Contact Materials. The Department of Science Service as AFRL was endorsed by ASEAN Consultative Committee on Standard and Quality (ACCSQ) in September 2014.
- Performing the mission of ASEAN Food Reference Laboratory for Food Contact Materials.
- Providing the training programs on the testing techniques for food contact materials to the scientists (a total of 10 people) from the government agencies of the member countries, i.e. Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar and Vietnam in 2014.
- Cooperating with Center for Laboratory Proficiency Testing for arranging the proficiency testing program among ASEAN laboratories in analysis of heavy metals: lead and cadmium in plastic testing materials in 2015.
- Providing the testing services according to ISO/IEC17025:2005 and continually expanding the accreditation scope.
