Background : Section of Public Sector Development

           Public Sector Development (PSD) is a unit established in accordance with Section 3/1 of the State Administration Act, B.E. 2534 (1991) as amended by the State Administration Act (No.5), B.E. 2545 (2002). The Act states that "the administration of public sectors must be for the benefit of the people, gain the achievement of the state mission, effectiveness and value for money, lessening unnecessary steps of works, reshaping the public organization, decentralizing tasks and resources, empowering, and providing convenient and favorable service to meet people needs." To reach the goals of this Act, therefore, in the year 2002, the government has established the Public Sector Development Commission (PDC) and consequently setting up the PSD in all government agencies to coordinate with PDC and to drive these operations.
