By virtue of the Government Gazette Vol. 50 on January 30, B.E. 2476 (A.D. 1933), the Office of the Secretary was established to accompany the Department of Science. At that time, the office consisted of 5 subdivisions including Correspondence subdivision, Finance subdivision, Library subdivision, Information subdivision, and Equipment subdivision. On May 23, 1934, the office was renamed to "the Central Division." Until August 12, 1934, the office was retuned to the original name "the office of secretary", due to increasing workload.
