DSS Arranged the Special Lectures “The Laboratory Development for Product Quality Control” and “The Initial Manipulation of ISO / IEC 17025 Standard Quality System” in The Thailand Lab 2015 Exhibition

 On 10 September 2015 Department of Science Service joined The Thailand Lab 2015 exhibition with special lectures on the topics “The laboratory development for product quality control” and “The initial manipulation of ISO / IEC 17025 standard quality system” at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre: BITEC.

Thailand Lab 2015 was the trade show and conference on technology, instruments, and and scientific laboratories of the agencies under the Ministry of Science and Technology, namely Department of Science Service, Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research, National Institute of Metrology, National Science and Technology Development Agency and Thailand Centre of Excellent for Life Sciences, along with more than 40 partner agencies in a government sector and a private sector. It was also an international conference which provided a lot of knowledge.

In the exhibition Department of Science Service arranged the special lectures in various Interesting topics. On 10 September the morning session was the topic “The laboratory development for product quality control” lectured by Dr. Pochaman Tagheen. It discussed the important factors that cause reliability of measuring results such as the customer’s demand; the personnel ability; the reasonableness of the test methods and Instruments; the metrological traceability and the uncertainty of measurement; quality assurance and the assessment of the laboratories’ ability from the accreditation bodies etc. The afternoon session was the topic “The initial manipulation of ISO / IEC 17025 standard quality system” lectured by Mrs. Dusadee Munkwamdee. It discussed the practical steps to implement the quality system of ISO / IEC 17025 standard to establish credibility of test results which were recognized and laboratory system accredited from the accreditation bodies which were mutually recognized in the regional and international level for the reduction of trade barriers and the increase in competitiveness.
