The ongoing research project titled for the Development of Food and Medical Products” is based on molecular biology knowledge. This research was initiated in response to challenges and demands presented by community enterprises and local entrepreneurs, who face difficulties in registering products with the Thai FDA (Food and Drug Administration) under the Positive List system.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Fermentation bins and effective microbial inoculants capable of rapidly degrading wet waste\u2014such as food scraps, meat, vegetables, and fruits\u2014are highly beneficial in reducing foul odors, minimizing waste disposal space, and shortening decomposition time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. To research and develop highly accurate and modern testing methods in microbiology and molecular biology to be used as national reference standards.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. To prepare and provide certified reference materials in microbiology and molecular biology to support testing and quality control in various industries and national agencies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. To test the properties of goods and products using microbiological and molecular biological knowledge, as a nationally recognized reference laboratory, in compliance with international standards and legal requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. To develop and upgrade the reference laboratory in microbiology and molecular biology with advanced and high-performance technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. An integrated, cross-disciplinary approach involving basic science, applied science, medicine, and agriculture to conduct research and develop fundamental knowledge, leading to the creation of innovations, technologies, and high-value products for the medical, agricultural, food, and public sectors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. To establish and maintain a laboratory quality system in accordance with ISO\/IEC 17025, and to carry out activities in compliance with laboratory safety standards and other relevant quality standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. To transfer knowledge to personnel in government agencies, educational institutions, and the public sector in order to enhance their capabilities in testing and quality control.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. To establish collaborative networks across all dimensions including academic work, research and development, and the transfer of knowledge, technology, and innovation for commercial application with relevant agencies both domestically and internationally.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    8. To operate and collaborate with relevant agencies in the formulation of regulations and standards at both national and international levels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    9. To support research and the development of scientific and technological standards, as well as to promote the capacity building of network laboratories in both academic institutions and the industrial sector, in order to enhance the country’s competitiveness at the international level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    10. To work in collaboration with or support the operations of other relevant agencies, or as assigned by supervisors.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      \ud83c\udfaf 3.<\/strong> Scope of Research Field:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The Molecular Microbiology Research Group focuses on the development and application of high-precision microbiological and molecular biological techniques for diagnostics, research, and the development of practical and applicable products. The group integrates in-depth knowledge in microbiology and molecular biology to drive innovation and problem-solving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The core mission of the group is to address real-world challenges and enhance the quality of life for the public, while also contributing to the advancement of national industries in various sectors, including food, agriculture, medicine, and the environment.
      Our research is guided by the principle of “knowledge integration and collaborative engagement” involving all relevant sectors\u2014government agencies, private enterprises, academic institutions, local communities, and civil society\u2014to ensure that scientific outcomes are meaningfully applied at both local and national levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Laminar Air Flow Cabinet<\/strong> is an equipment used to create a sterile environment free from microorganisms in order to prevent sample contamination. It operates by allowing air to pass through a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter and maintaining a steady, unidirectional airflow (Laminar Flow) of the filtered air.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Cold Room<\/strong> is a temperature-controlled room designed to store items that require consistently low temperatures (4\u00b0C), particularly products or materials that are perishable or temperature-sensitive, such as food, medicine, vaccines, biological samples, or certain chemicals used in research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
