β¨ 1. Significant Products:
Research analysis pertaining to organic compounds, encompassing both analytical methods for detecting various organic contaminants, naturally occurring substances, and emerging organic pollutants, as well as research focused on developing novel synthetic methodologies.
π’ 2. Responsibilities of Group:
- Research and develop organic chemistry testing standards in accordance with primary or secondary standards, or utilizing advanced techniques, to elevate the laboratory’s capabilities as a national reference center.
- Research, develop, and analyze reference materials in organic chemistry for the benefit of laboratory development and quality control to ensure compliance with standards.
- Conduct organic chemistry analyses as a nationally recognized reference laboratory to provide empirical evidence that products meet specified criteria, thereby complying with international regulatory standards.
- Disseminate knowledge in chemical science and testing technology, provide academic consultation and advice, and offer research services to address various issues.
- Establish and maintain a quality system in accordance with international standard ISO/IEC 17025 in organic chemistry to ensure highly accurate testing, serving as a model for other laboratories.
- Support research and the development of scientific and technological standards in organic chemistry, and promote the capacity building of laboratories and the industrial sector to enhance testing and quality control capabilities.
- Foster collaborative networks in academic and research and development dimensions with relevant national and international organizations.
- Collaborate with relevant agencies in establishing product regulations and standards, both domestically and internationally.
- Collaborate with or support the operations of other relevant agencies or as assigned by supervisors.

Research analysis pertaining to organic compounds, encompassing both analytical methodologies for the detection of diverse organic contaminants, naturally occurring substances, and emerging organic pollutants, as well as research focused on developing novel synthetic approaches.

- Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs)
- Development of testing methods for Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs)
- Accredited testing laboratory for detergents under Section 5 of the Industrial Product Standards Act, – performing tests in accordance with TIS 78-2549 Detergents.
- Chemical composition analysis of e-liquid (or vape juice)
- Analysis and testing of residual substances in recycled plastics (rPET)
