โจ 1. Significant Products:
The significant product developed is a Smart Measuring Probe (SMP) designed for calibration of Laser Distance Meters (LDM). It features:
โข Automatic high-precision positioning (repeatability ยฑ0.002 mm).
โข Wireless DC motor control.
โข Integration with interferometry system for reduced measurement uncertainty.
โข Complies with ISO 16331-1:2012.
The SMP enables accurate, automated calibration of LDMs up to 20 meters, reducing human errors and ensuring traceability with measurement uncertainties as low as 0.64 mm.
๐ข 2. Responsibilities of Group:
- Developing and improving calibration systems for length measurement.
- Conducting research in advanced laser metrology.
- Providing calibration services for LDMs and other distance instruments.
- Supporting national metrology traceability and international standards compliance.
๐ฏ 3. Scope of Research Field:
- Laser distance metrology and calibration.
- Development of interferometry systems.
- Evaluation and reduction of measurement uncertainties.
- Smart automation for calibration instruments.
- Smart Measuring Probe: SMP
This intelligent probe is specially designed for LDM calibration system. The body is made of high grade aluminum (7075), the movement is controlled by high precision DC motor, wireless control, the control software is XAMPP, which can set the measuring points automatically and collect the data from CCD camera until all the calibration points are reached.
